Job Title: Adventure Zip Line Guide

Job Location: Middleburg, VA

Job Status: Seasonal (through November)

Reports To: Course Manager

Position Summary

This position leads guided adventures including zip line canopy tours and rappelling experiences as well as hiking and survival expeditions. Additionally, Adventure Guides are responsible for conducting various maintenance tasks under the the direction of the Course Manager. The position requires solid interpersonal skills along with a “can do” attitude. The candidate will be someone who is self-starting, energetic and focused who embraces increasing responsibility and challenge. This Adventure Guide position is a valuable role that helps support our mission of delivering extraordinary customer experiences that promote self and team development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Experience working in varied weather conditions
• Able to make risk management decisions
• Responsible, reliable, punctual and committed to the job
• Pleasant and courteous in all interactions with guests
• Communicates well with co-workers, Zip Line Guide Manager, and General Manager
• Safe and responsible use of all Empower gear and equipment

Qualifications

• Computer skills (PC applications)
• Experience working with diverse clientele
• Flexible Schedule
• Must be committed to work entire season (April through November)
• Ability to walk, stand, and/or hang in a harness for long periods of time
• Able to lift and carry 50lbs. of weight and hike 3 miles per day
• Drug Free
