The Empower Tower

The course was fabulous blog post

I thought when I started the Empower Tower blog I would be doing a lot of the writing but it turns out that people love to share their experience that they had while joining us for a Tree Top Canopy Tour! We had the pleasure of having Kimberly and Jason out a few weekends ago for an early Valentines getaway. Kimberly goes through her entire experience in the quotes below.

“We were picked up from the back door of the Salamander by Joe, one of our guides and the owner of the company. We were surprised and excited to learn this would wind up being a private zipping tour for just the two of us. After the short golf cart ride we met Catherine who joined Joe in helping us get our gear on and orientation. We also did a practice mini zip to ensure we understood how to hand break and the signs from Joe on the other side. This was a great reintroduction to zipping for us and a perfect trial run for any newbie.”

“The course was fabulous–increasing in speed and length of the zip lines for the first 4 lines, and ending on a slightly shorter one.”

“I wasn’t thrilled with the first suspension bridge (right after the first zip line) and got a little timid when I was almost across it but by the second one (further along on the course) confidently walked across on my own.”

“While one would think winter might not be the best time to go zip lining, we were fortunate to have a slightly warmer day, and the lack of leaves on the trees gave us clear views throughout the course.”

“Joe and Catherine ran the tour itself with the utmost professionalism and safety in mind. They shared some interesting facts about the area, wildlife, and history, while letting us take it all in. We loved this tour and was a highlight of our getaway. We hope to return to Salamander in warmer weather and would love to go zip lining again when we’re back!”

Kimberly identified what we hope everyone experiences when they come to see us, she was empowered by the suspension bridges. She expanded her comfort zone and by the time the second bridge came along, it was easier for her to cross than the first! Each person experiences “empowerment” in different ways, but we are so excited to see how people can change in a short amount of time.
Thank you Kimberly and Jason for coming out and sharing your experience with everyone!
